In this second week of considering the vale of service we are thinking about how serving others can bring unexpected and surprising benefits to the person who serves and gives.
Our story is from 1 Kings 17: 7-16 and tells us of when Elijah met a widow who had virtually nothing left in the world. When she gave sacrificially she was unexpectedly blessed by God!

We really enjoyed the poem with actions to keep us busy.
We will do our best to serve each other as we also serve God.

Thank you 6W, glad you enjoyed the poem - it took a lot of practice to get that right, my poor dog was sat watching me with a very confused look on his face!
It's great to serve others, even when it means we might not benefit but God's promise is that when we do serve others then we will get rewarded too!
