Dear Parents and Carers,

I am writing to wish you a fond farewell as I will be retiring from my role as SENDCO at school at Easter.

It has been an absolute privilege to work with you and your children. I have always been deeply moved by the resilience and heart of this community. My goal has always been to ensure that every child, regardless of the challenges they face, has a voice and the support they need to thrive. Seeing your children grow, overcome obstacles, and find their confidence has been the most rewarding part of my career.

While I am looking forward to a new chapter—which will involve plenty of long walks with my dog, coffee with friends, and some voluntary work—I will truly miss the wonderful relationships I have built with so many of you.

Please be assured that I have worked closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Mrs Rossall, especially, who is taking on the role of SENDCO, to ensure a smooth transition, so that the support and care your children receive continues without interruption.

Thank you for trusting me to be a part of your children’s journeys. I wish you and your families nothing but the very best for the future.

I will miss greeting you and your lovely children at the gate every morning.

Warm regards,
Miss Young
SENDCO and gate-keeper
