At St Matthew's we think it's important to support and work alongside a range of charities to help develop children's emotional and spiritual growth. As well as helping those who require extra support around the world.
On Friday 13th November children came into school in their own clothes and got to watch a DVD in the hall. They donated 50p for this special day and all the raised funds were given to Children in Need. Teachers and staff also baked cakes for a cake sale to raise even more money for this worthy cause. The total raised will be published as soon as the money has been added up!
For ‘Children in Need’ and we raised £401.17!! We think it’s very important at St. Matthew’s to try and make a positive contribution to other people’s lives and our pupils are always eager in coming up with lots of different ways we can raise money for others!
Our Harvest donations this year has been phenomenal! We collected food for our Church to give to our local food banks and those who haven’t as much as us at this time of year. We had lots of visitors coming into our assemblies explaining all the hard work they do, such as, ‘Inside out’, the Salvation Army and our Street Pastors, and how we can always help those around us!
